Yarty Valley Dairies will be attending the Exeter Food Festival on Friday 13th April in the Darts Farm Shop tent. We will be giving a talk on Yarty Valley Dairies and how we produce our milk, cream and yogurts. So why not pop along and see us!



Yarty celebrates National Dairy Week at Darts Farm Shop on Saturday 4th February!!

This year National Dairy Week runs from 3rd – 9th February and it is all about highlighting the importance of the nutritional benefits of dairy products such as cream, milk and yogurts and the role they have in maintaining a healthy, balanced diet.

Once again, Yarty Valley Dairies will be down at Darts Farm Shop, showcasing our local dairy products. We will be offering tasters of our fresh creamy milk, as well as our award winning clotted cream, double cream and yogurts.  

So help us celebrate and support National Dairy Week and pop down to Darts Farm on Saturday 4th February and try our delicious products!

Source Trade Show 2011

On the 4th & 5th April, Yarty Valley attended the Source Trade Show at Westpoint in Exeter. We had a brilliant two days and would like to thank everybody who came to see us!!

This year Yarty Valley Dairies will be attending the Source trade show, down at Wespoint, Exeter.

We have never showed there before and believe it is an ideal opportunity to open our business to a wider customer base and demonstrate to potential customers that local producers can produce high quality products with an extremely professional service. We hope by having a trade stand at the Source show, that we have the opportunity to showcase what Yarty Valley Dairies has to offer to the retail, hospitality and manufacturing industries!

It is also important in helping to recognise local dairies and experiencing what they have to offer.

On Saturday 25th February, we at Yarty Valley Dairies will be down at Darts Farm Shop, showcasing our local products. We will be offering tasters of our fresh creamy milk (you really can tell the difference), our clotted cream dolloped on scones and our delicious double cream drizzled on meringues.  

So help us celebrate and support National Dairy Week and pop down to Darts Farm this Saturday and try our delicious cream and milk!



Apple and Celery Salad

Ingredients:

2 eating apples

3 celery stalks

Yarty Valley Natural Yogurt

Mayonnaise

Chopped Walnuts (Optional)

Method:

  1. Take the two eating apples (local if possible) and the celery stalks and chop them into small bite size pieces. Place the celery and the apple into a bowl.
  2. Mix one third mayonnaise with two thirds of Yarty Valley Natural Yogurt and pour over the apple and celery. (You can adjust the quantities to suit the amount of salad you need or how much dressing you want).
  3. If you want to add the walnuts, add them to the salad just before serving.

Yogurt Dip

Ingredients:

  • 250g Yarty Valley Dairies natural yogurt
  •  ½ cucumber – chopped
  • 1 handful chopped mint

 

Method:

  1. Place the Yarty Valley Dairies natural yogurt in a bowl; add the cucumber and mint – Stir.
  2. Serve chilled with chopped vegetables or warm pitta bread.
